Fairview Senior Citizens It is another month and we hope that spring is here. The Senior Citizens will be having Pot Luck on May 10th at 6:00pm, please bring your own dishes and a dish to share. The Board will be cooking on May 24th, bring your dishes and come join in the fun, it will be a great time for all. We are also planning a yard sale so if you have anything that you would like to donate you can bring it to the Senior Citizens

Thank you from Fairview Elementary! Thank you to all those who have been turning in BOX TOPS and COKE REWARD points to the school. These all provide money for our school and help us out a lot. Veterans Flag Ceremony at the Cemetery at 10:30am Monday May 29th. Help is needed with the Veteran Flag Project at the Fairview City Cemetery. If you would like to make a monthly donation, the City is willing to add whatever amount you would like to donate to your utility bill. Diana Compton is the project chair. Your donation is greatly appreciated.

Fairview City is the home of the Sanpete County Bookmobile Library. We would like to invite everyone to come in and meet our new Librarian, her name is Kathryn Zabriskie. She will here with us Monday thru Thursday, each week. We have extending our hours to Monday and Tuesday 10:00am- 4:30pm, on Wednesday 10:00am-6:30pm in the evening; and on Thursday 10:00am-4:30pm. We still need a few people who would like to come one day or part of a day a week to help Monday thru Thursday. If you could help us, please contact the library staff at 435-427-9305.

Annual Drive 4 Food ATV Ride – Saturday July 22th, Fairview Drive 4 Food will sponsor a charity OHV- ATV ride on the Arapeen Trail. Benefits from this event will go directly to the Sanpete Pantry. The ride will begin at Skyline Motor Sports. Check-in will begin at 7:00 am, and the ride will start at 8:30am. This will be a 70 mile ride that begins in Fairview and climbs Pleasant Creek Canyon to Scenic Skyline Drive where riders will enter the Arapeen Trail System of the Manti LaSal National Forest. Riders will pass Potters Ponds, Millers Flat Reservoir, on to the South Skyline Parking lot, then south back to Pleasant Creek. For more information contact Jeff Jarman.

Fairview City is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on the Fire Department. We are looking for both men and women. Note: You need to have a good driving record and have no felony convictions. Please come to the Fire Department located at 165 North State Street on Tuesday nights at 19:00hours or 7:00pm. Tuesday June 13th – Thursday 15th we will sell bundles of 10 tickets (ten tickets for each of the four events) at $280.00 per bundle will be available at the City Office.Saturday June 24th @ 9 am at the Fairview Rodeo Grounds, Derby tickets will be sold to the public. Each person can purchase 10 tickets. Cost of ticket will be $15.00 per person including babies.

If there are any tickets left after Saturday June 24th they will be sold July 11 – 12th and July 19th at the City Hall. Last year we sold out for the derby.
