Notice of Public Hearing
Fairview City Council will hold a public hearing to consider raising the monthly sewer rate. The purpose for the increase is to qualify for grant/loan funding to meet the State of Utah requirement for disposal of phosphorus from the wastewater plant. Fairview City has applied for funding with Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) for the sewer reuse project. This project will relocate the water discharged from the wastewater plant to the two (2) Fairview cemeteries to use for irrigation purposes. Citizen input is encouraged. The hearing will be held in conjunction with the regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at Fairview City Hall, 85 South State Street.
