Robert St. Jacques

My name is Bob St. Jacques and I am running for the office of city councilman for Fairview, Utah.

I was born in Massachusetts and came to Utah in 1991. My family settled in Sanpete Valley in 2002. I have a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and have been teaching High School History at Heritage Community in Provo for over 20 years.

I have served my adopted community in many ways: 6 years on the Fairview Planning Commission, 4 years on the Fairview City Council, 5 years as a docent/volunteer at the Fairview Museum of Art and History and once as a displayed artist at the museum, specializing in plastic models. My family and I deeply enjoy the close-knit communities in Fairview and the surrounding areas.

I have some ideas that I would like to see happen for Fairview if I am elected:

  1. Continue to annex areas around Fairview, excluding the Fairview Heights area.
  2. Apply (often) for the Scott’s Ballfield renovation contest to see if we can win a grant to renovate our ballfields.
  3. Make one of the city buildings solar powered so we have an example for our community.
  4. Save up funds for a second brush truck for the fire department which could financially benefit the city.

Fairview has great potential and a great future. I believe in the community and am asking for your vote so that I can continue my service and be a voice for the people. Thank You!
