Remember there is absolutely no dumping of anything including tree branches and limbs by the cemetery. There are no dogs allowed in the cemetery.

“All dogs must have a current dog license tag on their collar. Any dog or cat that is running loose within the City limits, causing a nuisance, can be picked up by the animal control officers and be penned and housed until such times as prescribed by the City Ordinance. If your animals have been impounded, all fees shall be paid at the City Offices. When the fees are paid in full, the office personnel shall contact the pound master or other city employee to arrange the release of said animal.”

There are two county landfills. ALL LOADS MUST BE COVERED!

Chester Landfill right off of Highway 89 between Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim. Open Saturday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Chester accepts construction, demolition, yard waste, dead animals, tires, automotive batteries and metal. PROHIBITED MATERIALS: Liquids, Hazardous Materials, Household Wastes, Furniture, Carpet, Computers, TVs, Treated Lumber, Plastic Containers, and Styrofoam.

White Hills Landfill Between Mayfield and Gunnison. They accept most items, including household waste. Monday – Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Saturday July 27 – Demolition Derby, Fireworks.

Dog License’s – It is time again to license your dog. You may do so at City hall Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
“A person can have up to a combination of 3 dogs or cats on a single-family lot. For this ordinance: If you are feeding an animal regularly, they are defined as your pet. The kittens of a pet cat, or the puppies of a licensed pet dog may be kept without penalty for 8 weeks, after which time the maximum number of three. All dogs must have a current dog license tag on their collar.”

Utility bills are due by the last day of the month. *DELINQUENT* accounts will be SHUT OFF the 11th of Month. There is a $100.00 reconnect fee to restore your utilities.

Fire Department Volunteers – Fairview City is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on the Fire Department. We are looking for both men and women. Note: You need to have a good driving record and have no felony convictions. Please come to the Old City Hall/Fire Department located at 165 North State Street on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm. Volunteers are needed at the Museum – Please contact the Museum at (435) 427-9216. The “Winter Hours are Tuesday thru Thursday 12 noon to 4 pm and Friday and Saturday 11 am to 4 pm

Fairview City Office hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm 

The Fairview City Senior Citizen center is available for rent for your activities. Please contact City Hall for more information and to reserve the building.

The Planning Commission and City Council meetings are open to the public. The Planning Commission meets at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of every month. The City Council meets on the third Thursday at 7:30 pm. The meetings are held in the city council room at city hall. More information can be found online at www.fairviewcity.com
